Hello!

My name is Mike, and I am a freelance photographer based in Queens, NYC. I like to call my style vintage-documentary. I strive to capture the full scene as I view it, rather than staging scenes to fabricate superficial outcomes. Afterwards, I edit the photographs in a vintage, filmic styling, for a timeless final product. 

A few fun facts about me

1. Music is a huge part of my life, and another one of my passions besides photography. I am a musician who plays guitar and drums. I collect vinyl records, and love setting time aside to do nothing else but listen to music. No phone, no shuffle just the music in the order the artist intended. I love seeing live music and believe that you can only judge a band after you see them perform.

2. After graduating college with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, I backpacked through Europe for over a month. I visited 9 countries, experienced new cultures, heard different languages, tried new foods, photographed landmarks, slept in hostels, missed trains, got yelled at by locals, got lost on mopeds (maybe even crashed one...) and had the time of my life. It was during this time that I discovered another one of my passions. Travel.

3. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, nestled in the middle of the woods. My first visit to New York City was in the summer of 2013, and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I proceeded to learn as much as I possibly could about NYC, memorizing subway lines, delving into its history and understanding the significance of particular buildings and parks. Little did I know, less than 4 years later, I would be living here. Today I call Sunnyside, Queens home!
