hey, nice to meet you.

my name is mike and I'm a self taught photographer living in queens, nyc. I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. It all started with a cheap film camera when I was just a kid. at first it wasn't technical, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I just wanted to capture a memory for my future self to reflect upon one day. I spent sunday's at car shows with my dad exposing roll after roll of film, taking terrible pictures of beautiful cars. As I grew older, I began taking more and more photos. I'd bring my camera to family events, on vacations or even just with me on the weekends. Over the years the terrible pictures became better and better photos, as I developed my craft through trial and error.

In grade school I had an interest in the arts as well as sciences. most people usually fall on one side or the other, but I found myself split pretty evenly between left and right brain attributes. when I went off to college, I followed the science path and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. I bought my first dslr during this time in college, as my interest in photography continued evolving. perhaps photography suits me so well because of its mixture of science and art. the left brain calculating settings while the right brain is looking for composition and thinking about color theory.

as I progressed in my professional career, I started making money with photography on the side, and so I created an llc. over time, the voice in my head started wondering if I could turn this passion into a career. In january of 2023, I decided it was time to leave my eight plus year career as an engineer and pursue photography full time.

today my work focuses on capturing a memory in time, and accurately representing how it looked and felt at that particular moment. I call my style vintage-documentary. to me, vintage means creating something that transcends a specific moment in time—an approach not tied to fleeting trends. my goal is for you to love your photos as much in the future as you do the first time you see them. documentary means capturing the genuine emotion of your day, reflecting the feelings you experienced in each image. from candid smiles to tender embraces and all the big moments in between. I focus on genuine connection, avoiding overly staged or artificially lite scenes.

we never know where life will take us or how long we have on this planet, but I do know photography can help preserve some of our most special moments with our most loved people. as a photographer, I feel a responsibility to share this power of photography with you. thanks for reading my story!

my philosophy

my style of photography is documentary, or photojournalistic. this means focusing more on candids than staged scenes. i strive to capture exactly how a moment felt through my imagery, editing style, and composition. if i’ve done my job correctly, when you look back at these photos, you’ll instantly be transported to the emotions you felt the moment the shutter closed. i avoid stiff posing, instead guiding you through a series of organic actions so the photos feel natural rather than staged or constructed.

i want you to feel as comfortable as possible. from your perspective, your session should feel fun and engaging. at the same time, i’m thinking about flattering angles, lighting, and stances that will help you look your best.

my core values

integrity - excellence - reliability - compassion.

the price I give you is the price you pay—no added fees or taxes. I hate them just as much as you do. If I don’t deliver on my promises, I’ll refund you the entire cost. simple as that. If you purchase any print through me, it comes with a lifetime guarantee.

I use state-of-the-art equipment and editing techniques. I shoot and edit everything myself to ensure quality and consistency. you will receive the best of the best. I push myself to create something unique and creative for every session.

your product will always be delivered on time. I will show up to our sessions early, and I will respond as quickly and efficiently as possible to any questions you may have. if you order a print from me, I personally inspect every one to ensure there are no mistakes by the time it gets into your hands.

I treat everyone the same. I get it—sometimes life gets in the way, and you arrive late to your session. I will do everything I can to accommodate you and still give you the full session, if possible. not everyone is a star in front of the camera, and that’s okay. I will meet you where you are and advocate for you to be the best you can be.
